Kenya-born author Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor, is known for her well-received novels, Dust (2013) and Dragonfly Sea(2019) nd her novella, Weight of Whispers (2003). Her work explores memory, meaning, landscapes, waters, time, desire, amnesia and the Africa of the interstices. She refers to herself as a citizen of the Swahili Seas/Ziwa Kuu (aka, ‘Indian Ocean). She is a renowned essayist and keynote presenter who has also written articles for several well-known journals and magazines including National Geographic.
