Dear Brown Atlantis family,
I have this idea to create an unatlas of a Brown Atlantis. What might that look like? Well I don’t know really, but I imagine each episode to be a part of that unatlas, taking as its premise that a Brown Atlantis is cartographically unmappable, and that the sounds and textures of an improvisational radio show cannot be fully made visible. So I was imagining each episode recomposed as a score, or a diagram. Thinking as point of departure of John Cage’s compilation of scores, Frederic Forte’s Minute Operas, and Etel Adnan’s drawing-poems. But the possibilities are of course endless. And the way in which these unmaps converse and palimpsest over one another, is another layer of this very fun puzzle to come to.
